What is Halls of Levistus?

Halls of Levistus is a website dedicated to making the game Dungeons and Dragons and the D20 system feel more like a roleplaying system and less statistics and character sheet. We strive to place physics rather than rulesets, words rather than a skillcheck to be diplomatic, and tactics rather than attack rolls to win a combat.

 

Is it just you that runs the websites?

No, I have a partner, AoV from the forums who also administrates the forum.

 

What is Dungeons and Dragons or the D20 System?

Dungeons and Dragons, commonly known as D&D is a roleplaying game that uses books and text along with imagination rather than video and animation from a computer or console system. The D20 system is the most current version D&D is run on, it is a system that uses the 20 Sided Die for the majority of the game. You can buy the rulebooks at your local borders or other bookstore, check them out from your local library, or go to this website- http://www.d20srd.org 

 

Where Can I Find Rules on the D20 System? Are They Free?

Yes, http://www.d20srd.org provides every rule to the D20 system as well as variants all 100% legal and free.

 

Many of those rules look confusing, is there a place that will simplify the rules and help me learn them easier?
